Investigations

USG has extensive expertise and experience in running complex and sensitive investigations.

These might be in support of police investigations, particularly in dificult jurisdictions (for instance, in search of employees who have been
reported missing).

Conversely, they may be a realistic alternative to police investigations in instances where clients do not wish to involve police on sensitive matters, particularly in the early stages of an investigation, or where police do not have the ability to assist.

Examples might include:

-	Discovery, evaluation and disruption of large scale intellectual property theft
-	Investigations into long-term shrinkage of assets
-	Provision of facilities to large corporations to assist employees with “whistle-blowing” with respect to internal company matters, and conducting investigations that might ensue
-	Investigations into hostile campaigns run by individuals or groups against corporations, such as product contamination, or intimidation of staff.

Crucial to the success of these services is USG’s experience of working in highly sensitive situations where the preservation of the legal evidentiary chain for possible subsequent use in formal proceedings is essential.
